We are an impact-first team of compassionate people from all parts of the world and all walks of life, dedicated to using business as a force for good in global health and development.About the PositionDimagi is seeking a skilled and motivated Administrative Assistant to join our Solutions Division in Senegal. Our Solutions Division offers professional services to partners to impactfully deliver Dimagi technology and/or programmatic expertise. You will be responsible for providing support to the Managing Director of the Solutions Division and ensuring the smooth operation of the division.The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a variety of administrative tasks. This position will be based in Dakar, Senegal and will need to be able to travel in Dakar.ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Assistance

  • Calendar management and scheduling of internal and external meetings to ensure time is allocated appropriatelyManage expense reports and submissions to ensure deadlines are met and budgets are keptManage email inbox for Solutions managing director.Oversee personal logistics, including purchasing, printing, and miscellaneous local errands in the Dakar areaSupport any event planning and travel arrangements, including creating itineraries and agendasAttend select meetings, take notes, capture action items, and ensure follow-upSupport in creating reports, meeting materials, and conducting researchProvide administrative support to the Solutions Leadership team as needed, such as divisional and team-wide password and Zoom account management

Operational Support

  • Support the execution of division operational processes, such as contractor and internal invoicing, template generation, team communications, and follow-ups to reconcile information used for monthly tracking of division resultsMaintain and update Salesforce dashboards and reports for the Solutions Division’s main KPIs under the direction of the Senior Director of Strategy and OperationsMaintain and update the Solutions Division Confluence pages and contentIdentify the vendors that we can use in Africa e.g., for purchasing business cards, work equipment, etc.General logistical support across teams: Assist with setting up brown bags, in-person lunches, and scheduling.Event Planning: Plan and book in-person events if and as neededSupport planning and coordination of Africa-based events, including off-site retreats and workshops.

Relevant Skills

  • 2+ years of experience as an administrative assistant or similar operations roleDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFluent in English and FrenchProficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office SuiteTranscribing and note-taking skillsExperience or familiarity with organizing in-person eventsDemonstrates proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilitiesIs able to travel in DakarEligible to work in Senegal

  • Previous vendor management experienceDemonstrated ability and comfort in assembling and presenting strategy slide decksSalesforce and Asana experienceExperience working in the social impact or global health sectors
