Mooring master / Sector: Oil and Gas (H/F).

Number of position : 02

Missions Mooring Master (1st Pilot)

  • Mooring and unmooring operations to the FPSO whilst within 5 nautical Miles of the Marine Terminal,
  • Carry out floating cargo hose connection and disconnection,
  • Take safety rounds on deck upon boarding,
  • Supervise safe transfer of Tanker Toolbox between Offshore Supply Vessel and Offtake Tanker,
  • Supervise cargo transfer operations at the FPSO on behalf of operators, Safety & Environmental monitoring of all operations on the Offtake Tanker whilst at the Marine Terminal,
  • Assist the Mooring Master (2nd Pilot) in all his duties.

Missions Mooring Master (2nd Pilot)

  • Take safety rounds on deck upon boarding,
  • Conduct safety meeting prior arrival at Marine Terminal,
  • Supervise offtake Tankers crew on poop deck for making fast & casting off the Static Tow Vessel,
  • Supervise offtake Tankers crew on Forecastle deck for mooring and unmooring operations, Supervise cargo transfer operations on behalf of operators
  • Safety & Environmental monitoring of all operations on the Offtake Tanker whilst at the Marine Terminal,
  • Assist the Mooring Master (1st Pilot) in all his duties.
  • Cargo Loading Procedure
  • Mooring Master (Pilots) shall monitor cargo operations as client representatives while the transfer of oil is in progress at the Marine Terminal.
  • Mooring Masters shall divide their watch hours as the circumstances demand. Mooring Masters shall monitor all cargo related communications and advise as required. Mooring Masters shall take regular safety rounds as required by the Ship / Shore safety Checklist.
  • Once the Offtake Tanker is ready to load, the Mooring Master shall convey the same to FPSO Cargo Control Room, to confirm that pumping may commence.
  • Initial loading will be at a slow rate,
  • During this slow loading period, safety checks are carried out on deck and cargo hose sighted for any visible leaks.
  • OCIMF recommended tanker procedures are to be adhered to at all times during loading operations and while the Offtake Tanker is at theTerminal.
  • FPSO Cargo controller and Offtake Tanker Cargo controller are to maintain and compare hourly cargo figures.
  • Loading rates are set as per Offtake Tankers request and slowing down or stopping notices are carried out as per the Terminal Handbook.

Provide proof of experience and knowledge about

  • Berthing limitations for Marine Operations ; its own equipment and list of inspections with valid certificates.
  • Offloading in Tandem Mooring Configuration ; Offloading Hose inspection Ship To Ship Transfer ; Marine Equipment Inspections
  • Chemical Bunkering Operations
  • Operations are carried out in strict accordance with International Conventions, Codes and Regulations of IMO, OCIMF/ICS and SIGTTO guidelines and comply fully with MARPOL Hazard Identification and Risk
  • Assessment
  • Briefing and debriefing to be carried on with reports after Operations
  • Adverse weather working criteria and limitation

Requirements : certifications

  • Mooring Master Services shall present the Personnel Certificates of Competency, Courses Qualification and
  • Training of the Mooring Master Team in compliance with the following:
  • Certificate of Competency STCW 78 as amended (Master) Regulation II/2 Dangerous Cargo Endorsement (Advanced) STCW Reg V/1-1
  • Advanced Marine Pilotage Training (or equivalent)
  • Bridge Resource Management Training (or equivalent)
  • Fluent in English Language (French would be beneficial)
  • A valid UKOOA Offshore medical certificate.
  • Valid BOSIET certificate approved by OPITO, including HUET.
  • Knowledge of Maritime Laws and Regulations of Senegal in accordance with the Senegalese Merchant Shipping Acts.
