Nestlé Senegal is currently looking for a Cost Analyst who will support the factory in the pursuit of cost optimization and compliance at the factory by providing visibility and insight into manufacturing variances. This will include the suggestion of corrective actions based on sound knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze factory variances and provide transparency on variances to Management (Operations and Business Units)
  • Analyze, monitor and challenge material price assumptions from Procurement; provide insight to management/factories on financial impact of price movements.
  • Review and analyze factory key performance indicators including operations performance, financial performance and compliance measures.
  • Perform Budget Control and raise flag and assist with necessary and on-time corrections in accounting module to translate the fair view of the operations.
  • Provide product cost estimates to support:
  • Operational Master Planning (OMP)
  • New Product Development (NPD) and product formulation changes
  • Assumptions used in capital investment plans and requests (e.g. labor savings from line efficiency improvement.
  • Participate to competitive bidding to witness and guarantee the good implementation of the procedure for supplier selection
  • Coordinate and Ensure Stock Taking are periodically taking place & Write-Offs are duly authorized to avoid misappropriation of goods and company assets
  • Coordinate reporting of actual costs: preparation of input data such as labor hours, Real Fuel Consumption
  • Energy for Period-end Close (PEC); ensuring that the Costing Standards for Manufacturing (CSM) are followed.
  • Collaborate with Costing Centre of Competence on operational activities such as Period End Close (PEC);
  • Master Data; factory health checks and give inputs for the revision of Service Level Agreement according to new reality
  • Drive and own the strategic planning process for Costs of Production and COGS (Monthly and Quarterly
  • Dynamic Forecasts; Standard Cost Budget). Deliver and develop processes and solutions to report forecast on COGS and Factory Fixed Cost.

What makes you successful?

  • Formal financial qualification of appropriate level (degree or similar).
  • Manufacturing costing experience; ideally within a factory or supply chain environment.
  • Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry experience.
  • Exposure to Costing Center of Competence
  • Computer skills: MS Windows, including intermediate Excel and Word, and basic PowerPoint and Access; SAP (or the equivalent) experience
